Jekyll and Hyde was a very fun musical, as it relied heavily on maintaining an atmosphere of suspense.

It was my final production at Bournemouth and Poole College, and a great challenge for me as a sound designer, as we had a cast of 30, only 24 radio mics available and a 6 piece band to mic.

My main responsibility as the sound designer on this musical was the reinforcement rather than design, so ensuring that the band are heard and the cast are heard on an equal level. 

​

I loved the music, and the suspense, particularly in the song "Alive" and "The First Transformation". 

​

I also enjoyed mixing the song "Your Work and Nothing More" because I love the crescendo leading into the harmonics.
